Velvet Leash Co. was founded on a simple belief: the best place for pets is in the comfort and familiarity of their own home.
As a Marine Corps veteran, medical doctor (MD), and lifelong animal lover, I understand the level of trust involved when someone is caring for both your pets and your home while you are away. That responsibility is something I take very seriously.
Velvet Leash Co. was created to offer a more thoughtful and professional alternative to traditional pet sitting; built on stability, discretion, and genuine respect for the households we serve. By intentionally limiting the number of families we work with, we are able to provide the kind of attentive, reliable care that allows our clients to travel with complete peace of mind.

10/5 stars! As much as I’d love to keep VLC a secret so we can have them all to ourselves, this company deserves all the recognition. Elena delivers top notch service and has become someone we trust wholeheartedly. We’ve gone on several vacations where she will come stay in our home with our dogs. She always leaves our home better than we left it and our dogs are very much so taken care of. The pups adore Elena and get so excited to see her. She treats them like they are her own and gives them so much love and affection. Her communication is also superb – constant video updates and texts letting us know all is well so we can be at ease on our trips.
